PERSONAL2009 Cafe for the job a success!

On 25 26/03/2009 and the fair took place staff in Munich. The Job Cafe was represented with its own stand and has taken in connection with the show's manager, Tina Engelhard for an interview.

Job Cafe: How successful was the "Expo 2009" this year?


T. Engelhard: In our view, the fair was very successful. With 249 exhibitors and 4316 visitors, we were able to achieve the best result in the history of the STAFF.


Job Cafe: What impact will the economic crisis? Can you see the fair as a parameter?


T. Engelhard: The exhibition clearly shows the impact the crisis on the HR market. On the one hand, there is in human resources departments, even in difficult times, a high demand for products and services for HR management. That was certainly the reason for our attendance record. On the other hand, the exhibitors already noted, however, that the current economic situation, investment decisions paralyzed. We have the good fortune that the fair has established itself as a fixture on the HR market. Therefore, most exhibitors do not want to renounce the right to point to the presence STAFF.


Job Cafe: Are job fairs in economically difficult times important?


T. Engelhard: Personal exhibitions are always important - in difficult times, as we are experiencing right now, probably even more. The task of the personnel departments move themselves from intense recruiting to staff reductions. But recruiters have to do much anyway. In addition, long-term projects such as employer branding and Work-Life Balance not lose their importance. And HR software is needed in times of crisis because of the savings potential. Job fairs this information at length about all the new features and establish the personal contact between customer and provider.


Job Cafe: What were the trends are there? The Internet plays an increasingly important role, therefore the importance of face-to-face contact at trade fairs?


T. Engelhard: networking plays an increasingly important role in advance online - for HR managers and HR Services. We therefore support the online network HRM.de (www.hrm.de) in many respects. Nevertheless, no media to replace a conversation face to face. Especially when it comes to to bind to a provider for longer, the HR people to want to get to know their partner in person.


Job Cafe: Can you already give an outlook for the next staff?


T. Engelhard: In these times it is certainly difficult to make statements about the future. We are sure that the PERSONNEL 2010 in Stuttgart will be another great success. Exhibitors and visitors were there in 2008 so content that have already logged many of the exhibiting companies again - despite the economic downturn!
